As a business person first, a writer second, and a student third, I fully understand the need for building credit. You just need it sometimes, a credit card when a check comes in late for your house payment, a loan from a bank when your business is floundering—the list could go on and on. BadCreditOffers.com allows you to get necessary information for your bad credit card. If you have bad credit, it can be built up and improved.
BadCreditOffers.com is a successful comparisons website specializing in helping people with bad credit. You can look over credit cards, home loans, auto loans, personal loans, and more. For example, the site has a list of the top ten credit cards currently on the market for people with bad credit, including links to sign up applications.
I know I will need a site like this. My credit is pretty poor at my age. For anyone, though, a college student or a retiring accountant, it can help.

Before I started writing, I was lost. The words needed to be said. The novels and short stories and articles were the path of choice. But how would I write something that mattered? I could not express myself the right way anywhere. I found hope when I began to journal like Julia Cameron (a noted author who shall be revealed), read author biographies, and started to share my work with others. The thesis for dreaming worked as a multitude more things. When you journal there is a smile waiting, an author biography can light the way, and when someone likes your writing there is the biggest of all smiles.
Early in one novelist and short story writer’s career, a lot of risks were being taken. This writer was a man trying to make it into the science fiction and fantasy scene of the 1950s. He was married and wanted to work as a writer of prose—specifically speculative fiction. The market was big then, a career could be made in the pulp magazines of yesteryear. Yet he still had doubts about whether he was wasting his time. He began to see a therapist, who saw that his dreams were of prose and advised him to study up on the lives of other people with ink in their hair. He did this. He found success. He learned to smile by reading of people like himself. His name is Ray Bradbury, the acclaimed writer who brought fantasy elements to science fiction, and is considered as important a writer of the fantastic as any other genre writer.

A Growing Blog Network, and one of the best--Pay Per Post
Writers need to be rewarded. Readers can get sick of some writers, a sad fact. Blogging can be a great way for a writer to share what he/she thinks about the writing process. It can be more personal, more raw, and more fun. It can also be a side income. If you want a blog network, you should at least look at Pay Per Post, a site which pays writers in dollars instead of cents (I am saying that from experience).
What attracted me to the site was all the buzz around it. Some writers are making good money on the site, just for wriitng their own opinions. I am not sure I would call Pay Per Post the best of the best just yet, but the fact is, there are hundreds of opportunities posted every month. It’s good for blogs too. You need to have a non-sponsored piece before and after each submitted piece, which can stop some writers from turning blogs into only paid posts. As a writer myself, I like how Pay Per Post rewards writers. I see the need for this in the market today. All you need to do is sign up, register a blog, and bid on opportunities. The good news on registering your blog is that, now, you need only have a blog 30 days old with 10 posts. That is one of the most lenient strategies on paid blogging networks. Now, making more money on a blog than with a regular site is possible. Blogging is a growing field. Jump aboard.

The Mad Genius: Philip K. Dick

Writer A Writer’s Eye, A Reader’s Eye, A Comic Eye, Chasing Heaven, Story And Script
It is interesting to read a biography of a madman. Often they see things, hear things, and say the oddest kinds of words, doing so in such ways that contradicts how people should live in society. Artists are one prime example. A perfect example is Philip K. Dick, a man who subverted, and created, what it meant to be an irrational science fiction author. He toyed with what is real: That’s the theme which transcends his writing (as noted in the biography by Lawrence Sutin, “Divine Invasions”).
He questioned himself, questioned his loves, and always questioned the world. Many consider him “The” science fiction author. He won a Hugo. He pubished dozens of novels and short stories. He wrote on many kinds of drugs, various amphetamines and other ones. But he rarely used classier drugs like cocaine and marijuana. What made his life so interesting is what it could have been.
Philip K. Dick’s greatest successes came after his death. Totall Recall. Blade Runner. Minority Report. Some of the best science fiction films—“Blade Runner being the best of the best—are why many of us know him now.
A talent full of ideas, to be Philip K. Dick was to constantly struggle for real commercial success while changing the science fiction genre. Is winning a Hugo not a real success? It is, but small in comparison to Dick, who so wanted mainstream success which he wanted for many years.
He made his story as his own. At his best, he was a science fiction author.

-------
I approach reading with the same insane thoughts as my writing: it’s a waste; I should not be doing this, no one will read the review if I write it. Or I might say this is great once I get past the beginning, why was I so hard on myself, what am I afraid of? I wrote in one short story of my protagonist being fearful of picking up books (in his case, comics) because he would want to write. He forgot, or I forgot, the reader who smiles is much like the writer who experiences emotion. He is evolving because of the book; his mind is adapting to the language.
As smiling is part of us we should consider developing the reader smiling as well.
Pick up Hemingway or Fitzgerald at the wrong time and you might be disappointed. I once picked up “The Great Gatsby” expecting to be enthralled by one of the finer, or more popular, novels of the 20th century. About a hundred pages in I did not see the obvious, simplistic style of Fitzgerald. The problem: I was in the wrong frame of mind. You would not read Virginia Woolf or John Updike, and interesting amalgam of writers, when you wanted some action or horror. Pick up Tom Clancy, Stephen King, or Dean Koontz, and do it because you are looking for something called entertainment, not literary masterpieces. Read a graphic novel by the likes of Alan Moore or Neil Gaiman, or maybe even a science fiction tale by the likes of Isaac Asimov or Dan Simmons. Do these things if you want slam-bam action, because reading can in itself be like therapy for the mind. We can get lost in the details otherwise.
I do think literary tales can be prime inspirations for a writer. I wrote my first good short story after reading “To the Lighthouse” by Virginia Woolf; for some reason, it evolved as I wrote in a different way. We don’t need to eat popcorn all day, because a full course literary meal means reading something with more weight.
I wrote of my character being fearful of comic books. The comic books led him to reading “real” books. The point is, we should consider developing our minds with different manuscripts. Comic books have the same power as a book. They can allow us to smile in just the right way.
Just who is the reader who smiles? He can be the comic book writer, the novelist, the bored newspaper writer hiding under the desk to read a novel, or even the playwright who considers the best dialogue to be that of “Romeo and Juliet” and “Hamlet.” I may not have learned to smile from “The Great Gatsby” but I did see something to smile about. Here was one of the great novels, and it did not play upon what entertained me. Call this what you will, but I did learn that some of the better novels are not pure entertainment.
On the other hand, the reader who smiles should read “Gatsby,” “The Sun Also Rises” and “To the Lighthouse” because the world of language is there. If we choose to be writers, we need qualifications. We can run up to the editor who knows none of the classics and impress him so much he offers us a check. Well, maybe we cannot go that far. We can read comic books, novels, histories, memoirs or whatever and we can find a reason to smile in them. The books are not a waste; the grin comes, shining to the sun, the novel or graphic novel flapping in the wind, and the writer can wait for just a moment. We are reading. And we hope it does not make us writer, whether we write or do not, because writing can bring about all those emotions and pains and doubts that we so long to avoid. If writing is about smiling and crying, reading is about the place in between because, as long as we read, our mind will be moving.

A Promising Accounting Blog
I am always interested in writing about careers. A career moves the world. So does accounting. Without the basic knowledge of what it takes to be an accountant you may find yourself going in the wrong direction career-wise. Consider looking at this accounting jobs blog.
The blog is run by A.E. Feldman Associates Inc., a company deals with a wide range of different accounting professions, including financial and risk management services, as well as legal and legal support services.
The blog itself describes new fields of work for accountants. The main theme of the blog is to provide insight into the accounting profession, from trends in employment to expert advice. For any aspiring accountant, it can provide in depth information. A.E. Feldman has been around since 1967, dealing with all kinds of accounting issues. The blog is an expression of that experience.

For all you Movie Buffs: Blockbuster Online
If you like movies, Blockbuster is the answer. Sure, Netflix is big, but they have no retail stores where you can get movies. With Blockbuster Online, you can get over 70,000 titles, shipping is free, and you can even get video games.
Online movies are a growing field, so it can be hard to choose the best. As a movie buff myself, it’s easy to see how fun it is to get Online Movies. For one, you can always have a movie to watch. Blockbuster sends you the movies, you watch them, and return them to the store (instead of having to mail them back). If you are ever without a movie, every month you can get a coupon for a rental from the Blockbuster store.
You can mail the movies back as well. What’s best is you will never be without a film. And if you want Online Game Rentals, Blockbuster has a huge selection. Have fun watching movies again, without having to go the store for them. With a huge selection, Blockbuster is really the answer for quality entertainment.

Learn to Read a Different Way
First off, let me just say this—I learned how to read by looking at comics, by having my father sit in his chair and tell me what Iron Man or Batman was doing, why The Joker was bad, why Tony Start drank, why Bruce Wayne lost his parents. I had to learn to read. My father couldn’t just dictate to me for the rest of my life. He didn’t go too fast or too slow—I just ran into problems when I wanted more and more. So I picked up the comics, began to look closer. I guess I didn’t learn completely how to read by picking up comics, school obviously helped. But they put that mindset in me that to read was something bigger than anything else, it had its own power.
I suppose without those super heroes and villains I still could’ve learned to read. It was just more enjoyable to think about why Iron Man was trapped in a submarine than why the dog barked at the boy (I am thinking of picture books there).
This is something to be discussed more. For without my reading, I may have never found the love of writing.
How did you learn to read? Drop me an email at jfmalewitz at gmail dot com.

I am currently reading a biography of Philip K. Dick, a renowned science fiction writer. For one, “Blade Runner” is one of the best movies of all time (in my mind, and has been voted so). I believe that is part of the reason I started StoryAndScript.blogspot.com: because films are something I love. When they work, they just plain work. I invite you to check the site out, even if you aren’t a screenwriter, because I will bring all kinds of topics to make you think. Thanks for listening.

Compulsive Reader didn’t pay me a cent, but I did get a by-line (my name on the article) as well as a short bio paragraph. I wasn’t in it for the money, but I found out I could receive free books by doing this job. I loved reading just about anything, from history to novels, so this was a major plus for me.
I learned the basics of writing novels by reading them. I also made valuable connections in publishing, even if only to get a large amount of free books (called reviewer copies). I met many authors, including Evan Kuhlman, winner of a Glimmer Train Short Story award, as well as Jim C. Hines, winner of Writers of the Future contest less than ten years ago. I would interview these writers, and ask the questions I had been so interested in asking for a long time. Interviews are actually not only a good way to get published, but to get paid for it. Associated Content no longer accepts interviews from authors not as well known, but there are plenty of other markets for this type of writing, like Strange Horizons and Writer’s Digest.
What it all amounted to was I was getting hundreds of dollars worth of books free. I met top writers and asked them questions I thought would interest readers.
I started writing for my college newspaper because of my interest in book reviews and interviews. They published a few articles and, a few months later, I became an editor at the paper. I doubt the job would have been mine if I didn’t have the online experience I did.
Next time you want a career in writing, start small and build from there. It just might turn into a career.

Flowers are a perfect gift, are they not? If you want to buy a gift for a loved one, I would recommend getting bulk flowers. Sure, you can get your loved one something else, but, for a long time, flowers have been the answer in good and bad times. If it’s a good time, it only enlivens the moment. If the gift is given during bad times, it can form a bridge for the relationship. Why use fiftyflowers.com? First, they make it easy and affordable. Second, Fifty Flowers cuts out the middlemen, offering you the service for far less (as much as 75% less) than traditional flower sellers. Lastly, you can use the flowers for things like table arrangements and wedding packages.

Writing novels is a major hobby of mine. I’ve finished one fantasy novel, and I’m working on my second. It all came about because of reviewing books on a consistent basis. Reviewing any item can often be turned into a career, even writing a simple book review can open doors. At worst you will get free books, something nice to put on your resume, and clips. Reviewing books led to my current job as a newspaper editor, so it holds weight.
Still, being a book critic won’t pay many bills. Even as an editor for the arts section of a newspaper, I can’t just fill up the pages with reviews—you need diversity, to review other things like plays, movies, and music events.
I do think writing book reviews can lead to a promising freelance career, so let me tell you how it happened for me.
My first major book review published came after querying the editor for Compulsive Reader. This is a widely popular book review site that I would recommend to anyone. I asked about writing up some reviews, but at the time I only had a couple clips to show. Nonetheless, I was asked to start sending in reviews; this proves that major experience isn’t needed, just a sense for words and a knowledge of what to leave out of your review (like a surprise or ending) and what has to be said (like views on character and writing style).

A Letter to Writers
My eBook The Writer Who Smiles is just for you, the kind of gift that will keep on giving. I am not sure it will change your life—it did change mine. The Writer Who Smiles began while I was sick of working for newspapers and low paying online work. I decided to do what so many writers have: Do what I wanted to do. So I studied a lot of writing books and, in one, found the answer. Write an eBook, the writer told me, so The Writer Who Smiles came out. I know, there are hundreds of books for writers, so what makes mine different? It’s more in the mold of Julia Cameron, a renowned writer. It’s for any writer, not just screenwriters or online writers—any writers.
I am also looking for reviewers for the book, so if you want a copy send me an email at jfmalewitz at gmail dot com. I can send you a free pdf version of the book and a press release. As long as you have a blog, or will review it for a review site, I will be happy to send you a copy.
Thanks for being part of my creative life.

Writer A Writer’s Eye, A Reader’s Eye, A Comic Eye, Chasing Heaven, Story And Script
“I am a fan of the story.”
I wrote that once, a long time ago, for a small website I had selling TV shows and films. I learned I wasn’t alone, that others liked some of the same stuff I did. It used to be I would read everything I could, rarely writing on it. Then I became a writer—not for material gain, but because I loved the idea of being an artist.
While working as an editor for a newspaper, I had to come up with some kind of slogan for my biweekly opinion column. The words had never quite come to mind before, but here they were—A Reader’s Eye.
As an arts and entertainment editor I worked on all kinds of artistic projects, covering local plays, music, and on a bigger scale movies and books (some by local authors). So I came to the conclusion the idea was sound, as many of us have a reader’s eye and just don’t know it.
I love books, comics, films, TV shows, the great directors, the great writers. I love all these things because they say with drama what cannot be said in life (sometimes). As I am now a freelance writer, it came to be that a blog was a good idea. Ya, I could publish whatever I wanted. I loved reading, not necessarily wriitng reviews of everything. But I went in anyways. Now, there is quite a readership on this blog (Brag, Brag, Brag).
I guess I’ll close with an old line:

When You Need It Most: Why No Fax Online Loans Can Help
As someone who has worked countless jobs, for little money usually, I can see the reason for having a Pay Day Loan service, for getting quick cash just when you need it. Sometimes it can be easy to call these people predators, but the fact is thousands of people use the Payday Loans. They can help you in tough times or just when you need extra cash on hand for things like bills or gifts. All you need to do with Paydaylaonneeds.com is tell the company whether you have a bank account, whether you make $1,000 a month on average, and if you are employed currently (or getting income in another way). You are not requird to fax in any copies of bank account information, or copies of pay sub, or any other material with this website. This saves you time on delays. If you are interested, or just need a cash advance, consider this site.

A Second Announcement: Story and Script
Storyandscript.blogspot.com
I truly love thinking about writing scripts, but not always writing them. The same can be said of many of us. We like having written, not writing. So I chose to start a blog to help give you a little light on one writer’s world. I will be sharing my pieces on Story And Script, but, as I am a novice writer, I won’t say they are great or perfect, just that they need work and could be something.
Sometimes in the deluge of posts here I lose sight of why I became a writer. You also might lose the fact I started a new blog to discuss films, comics, and novels, and the writing of them.
Why did you become a writer? I saw a means to make a living, a way of working from home. Therefore, writing scripts is the next step. My hope for this new blog, storyandscript.blogspot.com, is to find some engaging commentary and a willingness to write more. As of this writing, I have finished novels, comic scripts, even short stories, but no screenplays. That is my next step. What’s yours? I hope you give it a look, check it out the days you want to dream. I recall one quote, which I will share and be quiet. Renowned writer Peter David said, with one sold screenplay at Writer’s Guild Minimums, he could pay off all his daughter’s college tuition. Money isn’t everything, but, being honest, we all dream of making more.

Writer A Writer’s Eye, A Reader’s Eye, A Comic Eye, Chasing Heaven, Story And Script
The right kind of horror, the right kind of scare, gets under your skin … and never leaves your mind. When I saw Wes Craven (and another Craven) wrote the script for this horror film, I had my doubts. He may be famous for horro, but many of his films are more comedy or action than scary (Nightmare on
The movie jumps from the scene of a woman having a child to a military outpost, where people start dieing rather fast. It then jumps again, to a military training drill. Like most sequels, the action is increased, the bloodshed rises, and bodies start falling more and more. The training combat team, a bunch of rookies who either are being chewed out in the beginning or making mistakes, comes to the secret base, where it is said nuclear tests have been done (I am thinking of mutants again.) It seems the secret base asked for supplies, but there is nobody there. They had expected this to be a simple resupply mission. It ends up being far more than that.
The combat team have the basic conflicts expected. They curse each other out when not being yelled at by their commander. Craven makes some attempt to bring out each soldier, there cursing and conflicts and fears. The scares are there, but the characters are wooden, see through.
If Craven is good at anything, its using images to build tension, and tension to build images. When the soldiers start falling, and we get a few shots of the inhumans taking them out, it can be hard to look away.
As an endnote, this is more blood and gore than a spine tingling movie. Yes, parts are scary, but most far from it. This is more an action film, perhaps reminiscent of Resident Evil.
