Beginning with the Out of Print Novels
First off, in order to escape you need to find some of the out of print Battletech novels. These will give you a crash course. The first major series was called “Blood of Kerensky,” which was written by renowned sci-fi author Michael A. Stackpole. Many fans feel these are weak stories, but I have enjoyed several of them. For the most part, the classics from a decade or more ago are some of the best.
